The firm has since ventured into the sui generis area of election petitions, where it has serially notched up successes and helped change the face of election jurisprudence in Nigeria through the Tribunals, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court of Nigeria.

MOLP is headed by Chief Mike Agbedor Abu Ozekhome — Senior Advocate of the Masses (SAM); Voice of the People (VOP); Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON); Officer of the Federal Republic (OFR); Notary Public of Nigeria; Fellow, Chartered Institute of Arbitration (FCIArb), and a holder of numerous doctorate degrees (honoris causa) and one by thesis, from institutions in Nigeria and abroad.

A celebrated human rights advocate, pro-democracy campaigner, and author of over 70 books, he holds several fellowships in different fields of human endeavour. In 1987, he co-founded and pioneered the first ever human rights league in Nigeria, the Civil Liberties Organization (CLO).
