The President, Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, has conferred on Chief Mike Ozekhome, SAN, OFR, Ph.D, the prestigious National Honour of COMMANDER OF THE ORDER OF THE NIGER ( CON ). Ozekhome,already a recipient of the National honour of OFFICER OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC ( OFR), will be conferred with the National honour alongside other eminent Nigerians at a ceremony slated for the 11th of November, 2022, at the International Conference Centre, Abuja. This honour,one of the highest in the land, is certainly a well deserved recognition of and befitting reward for Dr Ozekhome’s famed patriotism,pan-Nigerianess,industry and consistency in speaking truth to authority; challenging impunity; and fiercely advocating and defending the rule of law,good governance and the fundamental rights of the voiceless,oppressed,repressed and marginalized Nigerian citizens.
